mConnect Comment Form
We want to know if we are choosing good potential locations. Do they connect you to other routes and important destinations? Are you worried that any proposed locations will have negative impacts? Let us know!
How did the project team come up with the potential locations?
A lot goes into a good station location. The project team collected technical information and analyzed past input from the public to determine the pros and cons of each location – it was a balancing act in an effort to find the best station locations for both ridership demand and connectivity to employment hubs and key destinations.
What makes for a good station location?
- Existing Transit Use – Where do people already board or exit buses along the Corridor?
- Connectivity – Which locations allow riders to transfer to other routes? Is there already a good path for a pedestrian to reach a desired location?
- Distance – How far would someone have to walk to get to a destination like a school, grocery store, medical facility, or workplace? And what combination of destinations minimize the distance between stations?
- Availability of Land – Is there enough space for a station?
- Minimal Impacts – Which options have less impact on the environment, utilities, parking, and private property?
- Public Input – What would serve you well? Please tell us!
